About
See what's on:
Launching in 2025, Arts at Airedale aims to improve wellbeing amongst staff and the wider hospital community through arts and creative play.
Throughout April, AHCC will be collaborating with local artist Jess Macadam to facilitate a series of free printmaking workshops, and to launch the charity's very first artist residency program.

Airedale Hospital & Community Charity's goal is to help the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust by raising funds, supporting others and championing the Airedale community, in a timely, effective and cost-efficient manner. This year, AHCC celebrates their 30th year (wahoo!). You can read more about AHCC's work here.

Jess Macadam is a Bingley-based multidisciplinary artist & designer, whose work encompasses hand drawn reportage and portrait illustration, as well as digital & web design. Much of Jess' work focusses on communicating human stories, and the idea of 'home' in its many forms. You can see more of Jess' work here.
Wellness Workshops
Delivered from the Airedale General Hospital restaurant (location C33), this series of free stamp making workshops is designed to bring about a moment of calm and respite from the clinical setting. You’ll learn to carve and print your very own stamps, inspired by the question - what brings you peace?
Workshops have been designed to be accessible and fun - no creative experience is required! A total of four workshops will be running on Mondays (April 21st & 23rd) and Wednesdays (April 28th & 30th) from 11am - 3pm. You can come and stay as long as you like, however we recommend staying for at least 30 minutes in order to settle in and familiarise yourself with the materials. You are welcome to bring along your lunch, teas and coffees!

“We are super excited to be working with Jess on our first ever arts programme at Airedale. Arts and creativity are so important to us as a charity for wellbeing, rehabilitation and generally for our enjoyment. The benefits are endless and we are looking forward to exploring this opportunity with our colleagues, patients and community.”
