LIVE GUEST PORTRAITS
An element of fun, and a chance to connect with your audience
Booked per hour or per day, live portrait illustration offers a chance to chat and connect with guests - having attendees relaxed and seated makes for the perfect opportunity to have a quick chat about your questionnaire, product launch or charity fundraiser, all whilst in a fun, low-stress setting. You may be surprised at the amount of conversation that can flow in the 5-7 minutes it takes to draw a portrait.
Let's work together.

FAQs
I can draw around 8-10 portraits per hour. Single portraits take around 5-7 minutes, pairs take around 10 - 15. Timings will vary dependent on artwork size (A5 will be quicker than A4), number of sitters, time between portraits, and level of detail. Full colour portraits will take a little longer than simpler line drawings, for example. This can be your choice!
Yes! I can put together a quote bespoke to your licensing preferences - for example, you may wish to use artwork for brochures, pitch decks or socials. Hand drawn illustration make an excellent addition to internal documents and marketing materials. I'm also more than happy to take on ad hoc design tasks, such as social media posts, flyer design, event collateral etc. Get in touch to find out more or receive a quote.
I am happy to travel as long as your timings allow! I can travel up to 50 miles outside of West Yorkshire free of charge, and 25p per mile for events further afield.
I work in a mixture of pencil, coloured pencils, wax crayons and marker pens. I tend not to use paints for live portraits as this can make things take longer, but I use gouache and watercolour for event artwork finished off in studio time. I can work in greater or lesser detail depending on the needs of the event, or even work in your brand colours.
I just need a table with some decent lighting and three chairs - plus another chair if you're looking to gather feedback during portrait sessions.

Hey! 👋
My name is Jess, I'm a designer, illustrator and artist based in Yorkshire, UK. I've a background in web & graphic design, having previously worked in publishing / eCommerce, where I designed fun books & card games and redesigned this homepage.
I love the process of trying to capture a scene as it unfolds around me, and particularly love projects that combine both beautiful, user friendly design principles with traditional artwork. I'm interested exploring the themes of diaspora, belonging, and the idea of 'home' in its many forms. This is my favourite book of 2025 (so far).
