Jess Macadam is a multidisciplinary designer, artist & illustrator based in the north of England.

My name is Jess, I'm a designer, illustrator and artist based in Yorkshire, UK. I've a background in web & graphic design, having previously worked in publishing / eCommerce, where I designed fun books & card games and redesigned this homepage.

I love beautiful, user friendly design and the process of reportage and observational drawing. I love the process of trying to capture a scene as it unfolds around me, and particularly love projects that combine both design principles & traditional artwork. I'm interested exploring the themes of diaspora, belonging, and the idea of 'home' in its many forms. This is my favourite book of 2025 (so far).
